The OTP goes to the mobile number in your Ni-kshay record. Type it only into the app; never tell it to anyone.

What the status means

A study across nine states found the median wait for the first payment fell from 200 days (patients in 2018) to 91 days (patients in 2022), and many patients still waited over three months. Keep checking, and ask your TB Unit if nothing arrives.
Beware of fake calls and websites
- Health staff never ask you to pay money to “release” a Ni-kshay Poshan Yojana payment.
- Never share an OTP, ATM PIN or bank password with anyone, even if they say they are from the TB programme.
- Give bank details only in person at your TB programme health facility, never on a call, WhatsApp or an unknown website.
- If you were cheated, call the national cyber crime helpline 1930 or report at cybercrime.gov.in.
