Nikshay Report and Dashboard: What They Show and Who Can See Them

Written from official TB programme sources Updated 16 Oct 2026 3 min read

“Ni-kshay report” means two different things. Programme staff use Ni-kshay reports and dashboards to follow TB care in their area. Patients usually mean their own test report, which comes from the lab or health facility, not from a public website.

Reports and dashboards for programme staff

Inside Ni-kshay, users at TB Unit, district, state and national level can see reports on notification, testing, treatment, adherence and outcomes for their area. DBT reports and registers show benefit payments. Reports show totals for an area; they are not a way to look up a person.

The Central TB Division website also links to directories of District TB Officers and State TB Officers hosted at reports.nikshay.in. These are useful if you need to reach the TB programme in your district.

Getting your own TB test report

  1. Ask where the test was done

Your sputum, NAAT (CBNAAT or Truenat), X-ray or other result is kept by the lab or health facility that did the test.

  2. Take your treatment card

Bring your treatment card or any slip with your Ni-kshay ID to the health facility.

  3. Ask your doctor to explain it

A result is only useful with a doctor’s explanation. Our TB tests guide explains what each test looks for.

Beware of “check your Ni-kshay report” websites

No public website lets you view a patient’s TB report by entering a name, mobile or Aadhaar number. Sites that ask for these may misuse your data.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the Ni-kshay dashboard?

Dashboards are part of the Ni-kshay portal for logged-in programme users at each level. Public directories of TB officers are linked from the Central TB Division website.

Can I download my TB report from Ni-kshay?

Patients do not download reports from the main portal. Ask the lab or health facility for your report, and use the TB Aarogya Sathi app to see treatment progress and payments.

What is the Ni-kshay directory?

It usually means the directories of District TB Officers and State TB Officers linked from the Central TB Division site, which help you contact the programme in your area.

My report says “MTB detected”. What now?

It means the test found TB bacteria. Your doctor will start treatment and tell you whether the bacteria are sensitive to rifampicin. See CBNAAT and Truenat and TB treatment.
